The coolest part of your trip might’ve been spent at the airport. Did you know Charles Lindbergh was a mail pilot at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport before his historic cross-Atlantic flight, or that the former landowners of the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport are buried underneath the runway? Learn these facts and more by picking up your own North American Airport Collectors Series Airport Trading Cards at the help kiosks of more than 80 participating airports throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“I’ve never been a baseball card collector,” said Jeff Lea, the public information manager of St. Louis Lambert International Airport, who first developed the idea in 2014. “I was constantly getting requests from far-off places to provide something with our airport code, and the cards fit the bill for marketing and communications. They’re collectible and can be reproduced very inexpensively.”
