Karen Harbert, president of U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Energy Institute, to succeed retiring CEO Dave McCurdy

The American Gas Association has appointed the head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s energy policy division as its next CEO.
Karen Harbert will succeed Dave McCurdy as CEO of the $36 million-revenue AGA on April 1, the association announced Feb. 12. Harbert currently is president and CEO of the Chamber’s Global Energy Institute. She previously was assistant secretary for policy and international affairs at the Department of Energy during the latter half of President George W. Bush’s administration.
