John Graham is seeking treatment for cancer, prompting him to temporarily relinquish his role as CEO of ASAE. The association says it has no new information to release about the type of cancer or Graham’s prognosis since his decision to step back was announced June 27.

“The outpouring of support and concern for John has been overwhelming,” Senior Manager of Public Relations Lauren Precker told CEO Update. “John is continuing to focus on his health and treatment and there are no further updates.”

“At this time, it is not clear if he will be at the ASAE Annual Meeting in Columbus, but he will let us know when he has made that decision,” she said in a July 8 email. The annual meeting is Aug. 10-13.

Executive Vice President Susan Robertson has been tapped as interim president and CEO. She also is president of the ASAE Foundation.
