The Grocery Manufacturers Association has chosen Geoff Freeman to succeed outgoing CEO Pam Bailey and possibly help the group regain momentum following the departure of several prominent members in recent months.
Freeman currently is CEO of $14 million-revenue American Gaming Association, which he has led for five years. He begins his new role at the $37 million-revenue GMA Aug. 1.
“Geoff has a proven track record of building unity, creating successful engagement on complex issues, and taking a proactive approach to advocacy that drives growth and expansion,” said William Cyr, a member of GMA’s board of governors and head of the search committee that selected Freeman.
