The Halloween Industry Association wants to celebrate costuming year-round.

It’s Michele Biordi’s job to keep alive the spirit of Halloween. As millions of trick-or-treaters hit the streets with candy on their minds, the executive director of the Halloween Industry Association is thinking far beyond the traditional spooky season.
The group partnered with Comic-Con International: San Diego and the Costume Designers Guild this past July at the annual convention that draws many thousands of dressed-up fans. The Halloween & Party Expo, co-owned by HIA, will once again co-locate in January with the Haunted Attraction National Trade Show and Convention in New Orleans.
And the group will formally launch its new brand in January as the Halloween & Costume Association.
