Digital transformation in view as corporate IT and telecom executive becomes CEO of Pennsylvania-based certification organization

The Project Management Institute has gone both outside the United States and outside the association world for its new CEO. The group hired tech and telecom executive Sunil Prashara, founder of a London-based “sales accelerator,” to implement a new strategic plan.
PMI has grown over the past two decades into a $188-million revenue organization with members in “nearly every country” and 300 chapters around the world. More than 750,000 people have received the Project Management Professional certification, known as the PMP, a designation the association has turned into a significant achievement in various industries.
