Taking the reins at the American Forest & Paper Association was a logical move for Heidi Brock, who has spent the last eight years leading another manufacturing-focused trade group, The Aluminum Association.
“I had actually spent 20 years in the forest products industry before joining the aluminum sector, so when I got a call from Leslie Hortum at Spencer Stuart … it was a pretty hard opportunity to say no to,” she said.
Brock called herself a “longtime fan” of Donna Harman, who is retiring after 12 years as AF&PA’s CEO and 29 years representing the industry.
