And as you approach the pinnacle of access and influence in Washington, D.C., associations will line up for your services.
CEO Update used tax data from 2017 and 2018 to identify the 100 top-paid association staffers who were also registered as federal lobbyists. (See charts pages 14 and 15.) In this group, six people have become CEOs and two more have been promoted to COO since the time period covered in the tax filings.
