When it comes to technology adoption, many thousands of construction contractors are still putting the pieces together.

“To say construction is behind the curve would be an understatement,” said Matt Abeles, vice president of construction technology and innovation at Associated Builders and Contractors.

But there is a proliferation of new technologies today that can help such companies compete and complete their projects. Educating members about technology and matching them with vetted vendors has become part of ABC’s mission. The association launched the Tech Alliance, a partnership with 12 tech companies, in August. That was followed by the Tech Marketplace in March, a platform for providing members with technology products and discounts.
