In a word: meaningful. The Black Lives Matter movement has shone a light on the lack of Black executives in the executive ranks of private-sector corporations. Unfortunately, the underrepresentation of Blacks and other ethnic minorities is also the case in the association world. It is therefore reasonable to expect, going forward, heightened scrutiny by association board members to ensure that there is increased diversity at the board and staff levels.
