Sandusky to retire from fourth CEO role
Vincent Sandusky announced plans to retire within the next year from the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association. He has led the $15M-revenue, Chantilly, Va.-based group since 2008.
Sandusky told CEO Update that he will step down on or before March 31, 2022, depending on when his successor is named and the length of the transition period.
SMACNA is Sandusky’s fourth stint as a chief executive since 1987. He was CEO of the Finishing Contractors Association from 2002-2008, president of the American Public Communications Council from 1994-2002, and EVP of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America from 1987-1994.
