CEO arrivals
ACS executive to lead Endocrine Society
Kate Fryer has been named CEO of the $29M-revenue Endocrine Society, filling a position that has been vacant for more than a year following the departure of former CEO Barbara Byrd Keenan.
Fryer takes on the new CEO role April 6. She is currently EVP, membership and society services at the American Chemical Society. Before joining ACS in 2017, Fryer spent nearly 17 years at the Society of Neuroscience, most recently as deputy executive director. Previously, she was publications manager and advertising coordinator for the American Association of Physics Teachers.
Fryer joins an organization that has been running without a permanent CEO for most of the COVID-19 pandemic. Robert Lash, chief professional and clinical affairs officer, was named interim CEO in June.
