Chris Krese and his family are going to bat for kids in the Dominican Republic.

Krese, senior vice president of marketing, communications and media relations at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, his wife, Jenny Krese, and their two children raised $7,500 last summer to provide 1,000 backpacks filled with back-to-school supplies for schoolchildren in the developing Caribbean country.

“Association professionals create the infrastructure and contribute some practical experience that enables people who have a united passion to really go out and turn that passion into action,” Krese told CEO Update.
