Any organization that is genuine about its efforts to diversify the corner office will be able to articulate a plan or strategy. It will make intentional efforts to attract, retain, and cultivate diverse talent. If it’s genuine in these efforts, it will be able to articulate them and lay out a clear plan for how it plans to support people of color when they assume these roles. This part is key. Be sure to ask about the support the organization is prepared to give.
