After an all-virtual event last year, ASAE’s 2021 annual meeting will be hybrid, with the biggest new wrinkle being half-day “Community Pop-UPs” in 10 cities, including the association hubs of Washington, D.C., and Chicago. The meeting will be held Aug.13-18.
The in-person gatherings will include networking, “watch parties” of virtual keynote speeches and the virtual awards ceremony, lunch or a reception, and in some cases will feature in-person keynote speeches. In the nation’s capital, the live keynote speaker will be former Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall, chief of protocol of the United States under President Barack Obama. The Washington pop-up will be Monday, Aug. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm.
