Chris Jahn will vault into the upper echelon of trade groups when he takes over as CEO of the American Chemistry Council in October, a group with 12 times the annual revenue of his current association and a reputation as one of the most influential lobbying organizations in Washington, D.C.
The current CEO of The Fertilizer Institute will also get a sheaf of new challenges. Cal Dooley, who has led the $125 million-revenue ACC since 2008, originally planned to retire last year but agreed to stay on an extra year to oversee an initiative on plastic waste.
