When Donald Palmisano announced he was leaving the Medical Association of Georgia after 10 years as executive director and CEO, he called three executive search firms he’d worked with previously to ask if they’d like to be considered for the job of finding his successor. Two were in the big association markets of Chicago and Washington, D.C.; he also called a local firm in Atlanta.
