ASAE’s plan to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year at the annual meeting in Las Vegas may have been nixed because of COVID-19, but the group is still expecting thousands of association professionals to participate in three days of online education and networking in early August.

The ASAE Virtual Annual Meeting & Exposition will take place from Aug. 10-12 and is free to ASAE members, with non-members charged $99. This year’s schedule features the regular mix of speakers, learning labs and networking opportunities, the main difference being attendees will need a desktop computer, laptop or tablet to access the event. (Smartphones are not supported.)

“The majority of sessions are prerecorded,” Chief Learning and Meetings Officer Amy Ledoux said. “We have all the speakers participating in the chat, so when people are asking questions there is an opportunity for engagement, which we think is important.”
