The show must go on, but path is uncertain

As meeting planners proceed on multiple tracks, observers say lessons learned in virtual environment may forever change in-person meetings

No one knows for sure what face-to-face meetings and exhibitions will look like in the near future, when they will resume, or how the economics of fewer attendees will work.

But associations that have been forced to pivot to virtual events are learning valuable lessons that they can apply to live meetings. Get used to the term hybrid—more and more events will combine both in-person and virtual elements, experts say.
