Tips for scenario planning

Erin Fuller, president of association solutions at MCI USA, recommends doing scenario planning in a series of two- to three-month “sprints.” Association leaders can use the information they have to create scenarios that they revisit every few months.

While making cuts is sometimes necessary to keep an organization afloat, she advises association executives and boards to dedicate time to discussing: “How can we get to (our) mission differently? What can be created?”
