Car wash and gear manufacturers associations are committed to face-to-face; ‘We would rather not have a show than go virtual’

Who needs hybrid?

Not gear makers. Not car wash operators.

With the surge of COVID’s delta variant plunging once-optimistic meeting planners into renewed uncertainty, the message, at least from associations representing those two industries, is that no show is better than a pale digital or even hybrid imitation.

“I am such a nonbeliever in digital events,” International Car Wash Association CEO Eric Wulf told CEO Update, with the group’s twice-postponed show coming up in November.

“I can’t even say it loudly enough. I think they’re horrible,” Wulf said.
