Former Outdoor Industry Association CEO Frank Hugelmeyer has been appointed the next president of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, a $15 million-revenue organization based in Reston, Va. He will replace President Richard Coon, who is retiring Oct. 1 after having led the group for 10 years.
Hugelmeyer previously spent 14 years at the helm of $6 million-revenue OIA, a Boulder, Colo.-based association representing manufacturers and retailers of outdoor recreation equipment. His resignation from the group in October 2014 was unusual in that it was publicly announced just three days before he was scheduled to leave.
