Kahn captures street life through photos

By day, Chip Kahn is CEO of the Federation of American Hospitals. But in his spare time, Kahn is often on the street, camera in hand and on the lookout for his next subject.

Kahn is a street photographer who has taken photos in cities around the world, from Washington, D.C., to Havana. Several of his photos will be featured in his first solo exhibition, “Reflections on Jerusalem,” Dec. 4 to Jan. 11 at the Photoworks art studio in Glen Echo, Md.

Kahn’s foray into photography began six years ago. The CEO often found himself in Nashville, where the association has several members, or New Orleans, where he has family. His evenings in both cities were often free.

“I said ‘maybe I will take the camera out and start shooting,’ and I did that,” he said.
